The Mission Statement of Preventive Security Assessment Services, LLC is simply to protect against threats that cause harm to People, Information and Property. We provide our diverse clientele with the most professional and cost-effective work product and presentation possible.

Preventive Security Assessment Services, LLC (PSASLLC) is an independent security consulting firm. Changing the way businesses and individuals approach their safety is our primary goal. Through Proactive Methods and Informed Assessments, we help increase our clients’ likelihood of recognizing harmful conditions and how to react.

Marcello R. Kettrles CPP, PSP, CPD, CCE is a 35-year veteran of Law Enforcement and Security Operations with extensive expertise in Physical Security, Corrections, and Expert Witness consulting. His background includes preventing unauthorized access, conducting surveillance and performing detailed security risk assessments.

A member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International), Mr. Kettrles is Board Certified as both a  Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) and Physical Security Professional (PSP®)—The (CPP®) credential is recognized as the industry’s gold standard, demonstrating his mastery of seven key security domains and his ability to develop and manage integrated protection strategies.

As a Certified Corrections Executive (CCE) with the American Correctional Association (ACA), this certification suggests Mr. Kettrles can successfully develop and implement policies and procedures for Adult Correctional Institutions at all levels. After a distinguished 20-year career with the New York City Department of Correction on Rikers Island, he continues to provide Correctional Support Services with the U.S. Marshals and the Federal Bureau of Prisons in New York and New Jersey.

He also holds a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Professional Designation (CPD) from the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP) and completed the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Utility Risk and Resilience Certificate Program, covering American Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) 2018 compliance, physical and cybersecurity analysis, SCADA protection, mitigation strategies aligned with AWWA’s J100 and M19 frameworks.

To further support his expert witness practice, Mr. Kettrles earned Certificates of Completion from SEAK, Incorporated in “How to Start, Build, and Run a Successful Expert Witness Practice,” “How to Be an Effective Expert Witness at Deposition and Trial.” and “How to Write a Bulletproof Expert Witness Report.”

Mr. Kettrles’s career reflects proven leadership, integrity, and a dedication to safeguarding people, organizations, and critical infrastructure through strategic and evidence-based security solutions.
